I'm currently working with Bio-Rad's marketing department to redesign and migrate its web site in 2009. Working with the design, marketing and programming teams, I help develop the html code, optimize graphics, design pages, edit copy and track production for the product descriptions, specifications, thumbnails and product feature pop-ups for the products featured in the Life Science Research, Process Separations and Life Science Education areas on bio-rad.com.
Moss Web Productions/Fuzetto-Moss Web Solutions, 2003-present
Moss Web Productions works with primarily individuals and small companies to create and redesign web sites — from strategic planning, conceptualization and architecture to final deployment and maintenance. I also have a partnership with Fuzetto Web Solutions to create larger database-driven sites that are content-manageable for the client, including e-commerce sites. Tasks include:
- Creating initial site maps and site wireframes.
- Designing and developing templates, or working with a graphic artist's composition to create an online functional template.
- Writing, editing and gathering/creating content, employing SEO techniques

Web Producer, PeopleSoft, Pleasanton, CA: 2001-2002:
I created and maintained the product pages on PeopleSoft.com
for the Financials,

Services and Enterprise
Service Automation product lines. Highlights:
- Worked with product marketing, direct response, design and development teams
to support new products and campaigns on the web, from concept to execution.
- Wrote and edited home page stories for the above product lines, working with product managers.
- Held key role in developing standards for online demos (html and Flash), working
with vendors and internal developers and designers, eventually bringing production
in house, and therefore, the costs down.
- Regularly provided strategic roadmaps and metrics to marketing, and developed
standards for metrics delivery.
- Was part of team that migrated the site to a new design and content management
system, and merged the content of the public site with the customer and partner
extranets.
Producer, Netscape Communications, Mountain View, CA 1999-2001
I managed production -- from conception to launch -- for Netscape
Community products. Maintained schedules for design, engineering and QA,
and communication between Netscape and its partners for launch and maintenance.
Highlights:
- Led a site-wide redesign and cleanup, working with the producers of 16+ channels.
- Worked with design, marketing, and AOL core engineering to launch Message
Boards.
- Coordinated efforts with marketing, design and engineering to launch Netscape
Instant Messenger 3.0 and 4.0.
- Launched Chat as the flagship Netscape Community product, using AIM-based
chat.
- Helped launch the co-branded Net2Phone 1.0 and 2.0, managing the design and
QA, and edited 50+ support/FAQ pages.
- Worked with design and the partners' marketing and core engineering teams,
and helped with usability testing to launch Netscape Calendar. I then worked
with the AOL core technology team to retool the product as WebCalendar.
Internet Project Manager, Electronic Arts, San Mateo, CA 1997-1998
I managed the site production and maintenance for EA Games, Maxis and Bullfrog.
Duties included working with product managers and producers to obtain content,
and determining project scopes, writing creative briefs, and managing schedules
for marketing, design and engineering. Highlights:
- As the first Internet Project Specialist at EA, Developed a scheduling process
that kept production on track.
- Developed a metrics reporting system, training other Project Managers on the
process.
- Started EA Extra, an e-mail to 100K+ customers.
- Created 12 sites, including the 357-page Maxis site redesign, which had an
18% visitor increase in two months.
Online Content Specialist, Maxis, Walnut Creek, CA 1994-1997
Created and managed content and design on the site and online services for this
game company. Highlights:
- With limited resources, created the Maxis/SimCity Web sites in 5/95, which
garnered major press coverage and industry awards.
- Worked with product managers and producers on their products' site strategies,
and implementing promotions, ensuring they were within budget.
- Maintained relationships with on-line magazines, commercial services, and
newsgroups.
- Developed activity and revenue reports, analyzing product and industry trends.
- Edited and produced five newsletters.
- Within one year, the Maxis Store's revenue was 26% of total direct sales and
4% of total sales, exceeding its goal by 25%.
